On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Rotary Club of Patalganga in partnership with HOCL school and Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur organized a special event focused on promoting literacy among underprivileged children. The highlight of the celebration was a phonetic workshop designed for Class 4 students of Primary School Parade. The workshop aimed to provide valuable literacy skills to these underprivileged students. They received instruction in phonetics and alphabet sounds from dedicated educators, Ms. Parvin Mulani and Ms. Pratima Ghegade, teachers at HOCL School. Rotarian Professor Angel Sunder efficiently coordinated the entire program, ensuring its smooth execution. The students actively participated in the workshop and grasped the phonetic concepts meaningfully. Their engagement and enthusiasm highlighted the success of the program. In line with RC Patalganga Club's commitment to literacy, the organizers plan to extend this teaching series throughout the entire month of September. This dedication to continued education and empowerment exemplifies the spirit of International Literacy Day. This International Literacy Day celebration showcased the positive impact that collaboration, dedication, and education can have on underprivileged children's lives. It marked a significant step toward creating a more literate and empowered society, setting the stage for ongoing initiatives to promote literacy and education among disadvantaged communities.
