Motivational speech is a therapeutic technique used to address addiction and substance use disorders (SUD) in patients by strengthening one’s motivation and commitment to a particular goal, such as sobriety. When battling an addiction, one of the most difficult hurdles to overcome is a lack of motivation. Many people develop an addiction as a coping mechanism to deal with other traumas or other issues that stem from their everyday life. Motivational thoughts helps people overcome their fears or uncertainty, fostering patients’ ambition to get sober and begin their journey to recovery. With this intention, RC Patalganga organised a Motivational speech therapy along with entertainment program to patients at De-Addiction Centre. The speech thoroughly encouraged & motivated all. Also they enjoyed karaoke songs by Artists and Danced to the songs. Later some of the addicts showcased their talent on singing and playing instruments like flute & guitar. We spent the whole day with them also had lunch with them showcasing our acceptance as they are and encouraged them to live a normal life after their treatment. We truly felt satisfied as we brought SMILE on the faces of all. Overall it was a very satisfying experience.
